Origin: From the Assumption Cathedral of the Moscow Kremlin (from the central iconostasis, above the northern gates leading into the altar).

Material: Wood, tempera

Dimensions:  height 72 cm, width 129 cm

A shoulder-length image of the Savior Emmanuel with archangels facing him. Emmanuel stands in the central part of the icon, wearing a dark ochre chiton with thin golden assist; to the left is the Archangel Michael dressed in a purple-pink chiton and a dark-blue himation; to the right is the Archangel Gabriel in a blue chiton and a pink-purple himation. The archangels’ hairs are interlaced with blue straps with cased red stones.
